Ramban, September 23: In a tragic turn of events, two police personnel were discovered lifeless in a car at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area of Batote tehsil, Ramban district, on Tuesday evening.
According to officials, the bodies of the officers were found inside a Fiat Linea vehicle, registered as JK-19/5299, around 8:30 PM. Local residents promptly alerted authorities and rushed them to the District Hospital in Ramban, where doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival.
The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed, known by service number 408/Rbn, from Bhatti Ramban, and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob, whose service number is 309/Rbn, hailing from Jatgali in Ramban. Both officers were stationed at the District Police Lines (DPL) in Ramban.
The district hospital holds their bodies as medico-legal formalities are undertaken. Officials have stated that the reasons behind their sudden deaths remain unclear at this time.
